MeliTerms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Melies iPhone app and its server (“Melies”, “we”, “us”), developed and operated by its creator, known publicly as RJ Descubre. By using Melies you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use Melies.
1. What Melies is
Melies lets you edit and render videos on your iPhone and publish them, now or at a scheduled time, to the social network accounts you connect (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook), and helps you plan live streams on Kick. Some features use artificial intelligence to suggest text and edits.
2. Your account and your connected accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country and by each network you connect.
- You connect your social accounts through each network's official authorization screen. Melies acts only on the accounts you connect, only with the permissions you grant, and only when you ask it to or schedule it.
- You can disconnect any account at any time in the app; Melies then revokes and deletes its token.
3. Your content
- You keep all rights to the videos, images, audio and text you create or upload. You give us only the limited permission needed to process and deliver that content to the networks you choose, for the time needed to do so.
- You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to everything in it (including music), and for following the rules of each network you publish to, including TikTok's Terms of Service, TikTok's Music Usage Confirmation and Branded Content Policy, the YouTube Terms of Service, and Meta's and Kick's terms. By connecting YouTube you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
- Before each post you review the caption and the settings that network offers; nothing is published without your approval.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Melies to publish content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, is sexual content involving minors, promotes violence or harassment, or is spam; to access accounts you are not authorized to use; or to interfere with Melies or with the networks' services. We may suspend access that breaks these rules.
5. AI features
Suggestions made by AI (captions, titles, edits, clips) can be wrong. Review them before publishing; you decide what is published.
6. Third-party services
Publishing depends on TikTok, YouTube, Meta and Kick. They may reject, limit, delay or remove content, or change their services, and their availability is outside our control. Their own terms and policies apply.
7. Availability and changes
Melies is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a scheduled post will be published at the exact time. We may change or discontinue features; if we change these terms in an important way, we will tell you in the app before the change applies.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, for lost content, or for the actions of third-party networks. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived.
9. Ending
You can stop using Melies at any time and ask us to delete your data (see Data deletion). We may end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
